Winter is almost here. This season brings a craving for something warm. That's why people love to drink soup. Hot soup is a great treat, and if healthily made at home, it's also beneficial for health.

A popular soup is tomato soup. Its thick texture and flavor are loved by everyone. It warms the body and satisfies cravings for something tasty. If you'd like to make tomato soup at home, let's learn the recipe.
Ingredients
You will need about 500 grams (4-5 medium-sized) ripe red tomatoes
1 medium-sized chopped onion
2-3 cloves of finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon butter or oil
About 2-3 cups of water or vegetable stock
Salt (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon sugar
A little fresh cream and coriander leaves for garnishing
Method
First, heat butter or oil in a deep pan. Add finely chopped garlic and then chopped onion and fry until lightly golden.
Now add the chopped tomatoes to the pan. Add salt, black pepper powder, and water or vegetable stock and stir.
Then cover the pan and cook over medium heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the tomatoes are completely tender.
Once the tomatoes are cooked, peel them, remove the mixture from the heat, and let it cool. Once cooled, blend it into a smooth paste using a blender or mixer.

Put the smooth paste back into the pan. Add sugar, mix well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. If the soup isn't thick enough, you can add cornflour dissolved in a little water.
Pour the hot soup into bowls. Garnish with fresh cream or cilantro. Serve immediately with croutons or breadsticks.
