Light a lamp with mustard oil.
Whenever you perform Aarti and worship Tulsi Mata in the evening, you should first light a lamp with ghee or mustard oil. Then, light incense sticks and a lamp. During the Aarti, offer flowers, roli (vermilion), akshat (rice grains), sandalwood paste, sindoor (vermilion powder), etc. Offer rice grains (akshat). Offer sweets or fruits as prasad (offering). Perform Aarti of Tulsi Mata and circumambulate the plant. Chant the mantras of Tulsi Mata.
Do not make these mistakes.
Touching the Tulsi plant after sunset is considered forbidden, so you should never pluck Tulsi leaves in the evening. When lighting a lamp near the Tulsi plant, place it on a base of rice grains. While worshipping the Tulsi plant, one should not leave their hair open. Aarti should be performed for the Tulsi plant in the evening, but water should not be offered at that time.
