Ustad Bhagat Singh: 'Ustad Bhagat Singh' director breaks silence on clash with Dhurandhar 2..

Dhurandhar 2 was originally scheduled to clash with Yash's Toxic. However, after Toxic was postponed, Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh's release date was set for March 19th.

Since the release date of Ustaad Bhagat Singh was revealed, discussions about a clash have once again begun. Director Harish Shankar has now responded to the news of releasing Ustad Bhagat Singh alongside the highly anticipated film Dhurandhar The Revenge.

Ustad Bhagat Singh's makers are not afraid of Dhurandhar 2.
Harish Shankar, in an interview with Galt, said that the clash between Dhurandhar and Ustaad Bhagat Singh could be a good box office success. He said, "Aditya Dhar is a great filmmaker. I saw Uri. He's a very powerful, very influential filmmaker. All Indian films should consider Dhurandhar their competition, but we have our Telugu states for this film."

Also, they are two very different genres. If instead of Dhurandhar, it had been a Shah Rukh Khan film, with songs, a full-on entertainer, we would have thought, 'Oh, this is just like our film.' But Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar are completely different films."

Why is Ustad being released alongside Dhurandhar 2?

The director of Ustad Bhagat Singh also said that the decision to set the film's release date wasn't his alone. He said, "It's a collective decision. It wasn't just mine. Somewhere, I felt, 'I'm doing a film with Pawan Sir after such a long time, and it's competing with another big film...'"

Still, whether it's Sankranti or summer, it's always a combination. There's room for 2-3 big films to work. It's not like they won't show any other film besides Dhurandhar in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana."
