**The Correct Method for Cleaning After Sunset**
According to Vastu Shastra, if you are compelled to sweep after sunset, keep one specific rule in mind: do not discard the dirt or debris collected by the broom outside the house during the night. Instead, deposit the waste into a dustbin located in a corner within the house, and take it outside only the following morning.

It is believed that when household dirt is thrown out in the evening, the home's 'Lakshmi' (prosperity) is also cast out along with it, allowing 'Alakshmi' (poverty and discord) to enter the home. The arrival of Alakshmi can lead to domestic strife and financial hardship.
**Rules for Buying and Replacing Brooms**
Vastu Shastra not only outlines the proper method for sweeping but also specifies the auspicious time for purchasing a broom:

**The Significance of Saturday:** If you intend to replace an old broom with a new one, Saturday is considered the most auspicious day to do so. It is considered propitious to begin using a new broom on a Saturday.

**Purchasing During the *Krishna Paksha*:** One should always choose the *Krishna Paksha* (the lunar fortnight characterized by waning moonlight) to purchase a broom.

**Avoid the *Shukla Paksha*:** According to Vastu, a broom purchased during the *Shukla Paksha* (the lunar fortnight characterized by waxing moonlight) is considered an omen of misfortune; therefore, one should refrain from buying a broom during this period.
