Vastu: Don't do these 5 things outside after sunset, as it could affect your home's prosperity..

In Hinduism, giving alms is considered highly virtuous, but it also has certain rules. Religious texts state that giving certain items out of the house after sunset can diminish auspiciousness. Elders often advise against giving certain things away after evening for this reason. It is believed that donating certain items during the Pradosh period negatively impacts the prosperity and positive energy of the home. According to Acharya Anand Bhardwaj of Ujjain, these five items should be avoided after sunset.

1. Turmeric is considered a symbol of good luck and the planet Jupiter. Giving turmeric out after sunset reduces the favorability of Jupiter, which can lead to financial difficulties.

2. According to Vastu, salt is associated with the energy and stability of the home. Donating it after evening weakens the positive vibes in the home, so giving salt out during this time should be avoided.

3. Yogurt is considered a symbol of prosperity and coolness. It is believed that giving out yogurt after sunset hinders the home's progress and prosperity, so exchanging it at night is considered inauspicious.

4. Money is a form of Lakshmi in the home. It is believed that giving money away in the evening reduces the home's prosperity and the possibility of Lakshmi's blessings diminishing.

5. Milk is associated with both Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Giving milk away after sunset is considered extremely inauspicious, as doing so could diminish Lakshmi's blessings.

Also, when it begins to get dark after sunset, the main door of the house should not be kept closed. According to religious beliefs, Goddess Lakshmi and other deities arrive in the evening. If you keep the door closed, they will return from outside. A lamp should be lit at the main entrance of the house, and other lights should also be turned on to prevent darkness. Tulsi leaves should not be plucked in the evening. Doing so will incur sin and may anger Goddess Lakshmi. This brings poverty to the home. In the evening, it is customary to worship Tulsi and offer lamps there.
