We all create a small temple or prayer room in our homes for peace, happiness, and prosperity. This corner is the most sacred part of the house, from where positive energy flows throughout. But, did you know that unknowingly, you might be placing certain idols in your prayer room that can cause problems in your life? Scriptures say that incorrect idols create Vastu defects, leading to financial difficulties and discord.

Remove these idols from your temple immediately:
Broken or damaged idols: Never keep an idol in your prayer room that is broken or whose paint has completely faded. According to the scriptures, worshipping a broken idol does not bring merit but rather increases negativity. Such idols should be respectfully placed in a sacred river or under a peepal tree.

Idols depicting fierce forms: Never place a picture or idol in your home temple that depicts a deity in an angry posture (such as Kalabhairava or Shiva performing the Tandava dance). Only idols depicting peaceful and benevolent forms should be kept in the house to maintain a harmonious atmosphere.

More than two idols of the same deity: Often, out of devotion, people keep several idols of the same deity. According to Vastu Shastra, keeping two or more idols of the same deity in the same place creates a clash of energies, which can increase mental stress.

Idols facing each other: Never place idols in the temple in such a way that their faces are opposite each other. This increases family conflict and disagreements.

Proper maintenance of idols is essential:
Along with placing the idols, their proper care is also important. If you keep Laddu Gopal or any other deity's idol in your home, regular service and cleaning are mandatory. Idols covered in dust or surrounded by withered flowers invite misfortune.

The prayer room is not just a place for decoration, but the center of our devotion. If you have any of the idols mentioned above in your home temple, remove them this Saturday or on any auspicious date. Idols placed in the right direction and with the correct form bring immense success and peace into your life. Furthermore, the proper immersion of these idols is also extremely important.
