Who is Lord Vishwakarma?
According to the scriptures, Lord Vishwakarma is the first craftsman, architect, and engineer of the universe. It is believed that when Lord Brahma created the universe, He entrusted the task of construction and creation to Lord Vishwakarma. It was at the behest of Lord Brahma that Lord Vishwakarma created various structures and objects in the universe, including Indrapuri, Lanka (in the Treta Yuga), Dwarka and Hastinapur (in the Dwapara Yuga), and Jagannathpuri (in the Kali Yuga). Clean the tools and machinery at your workplace, place an idol or picture of Lord Vishwakarma, and worship Him using *Roli* (vermilion), *Akshat* (unbroken rice grains), fruits, flowers, etc.
