Now, after nearly 22 years, Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon are finally reuniting for an upcoming comedy film. They will appear in *Welcome To The Jungle*. In an interview, director Ahmed Khan shared Raveena's reaction when she learned that Akshay was also part of the project.

Speaking to *Mid-Day*, Ahmed mentioned that it was his decades-old friendship with both Akshay and Raveena that made it possible for them to come together for *Welcome To The Jungle*. The filmmaker added that they have known each other for over three decades and are aware of the events that have unfolded in each other's lives.

**Ahmed Khan reveals Raveena's reaction**
When asked if it was difficult to bring the *Mohra* stars back together for a film, the director happily viewed it as a gift for the fans. He believes that people want to see Raveena and Akshay together, so "why not do it for the fans?"

The director also revealed that Raveena had no issues when she found out Akshay was working on this comedy film. Ahmed quoted her as saying, "So what? We are all actors and mature individuals. We are friends and will have a lot of fun on set."

**Suniel Shetty also gets emotional**
The director of *Welcome To The Jungle* also spoke about a dance sequence featuring Akshay and Raveena in the third installment of the *Welcome* franchise. The sequence has been choreographed by Prince Gupta and Rahul Shetty. Ahmed mentioned that everyone on the set applauded, while Suniel Shetty exclaimed, "Hey, my 'Mohra' co-star is here!" Suniel had also been part of that 1994 film.

Akshay married Twinkle Khanna 25 years ago; they have two children—a son, Aarav, and a daughter, Nitara. Meanwhile, Raveena married Anil Thadani in 2004, and they have children named Rasha Thadani and Ranbirvardhan Thadani. The two last worked together in the film *Police Force: An Inside Story*, released in 2004. *Welcome to the Jungle* is set to release in theaters on June 26.
