Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Gujarat. On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, he will attend a program in Navsari. The security of this program will be handled by women police personnel. This will happen for the first time in the country. At the same time, the Prime Minister himself has announced to hand over the management of his social media account to women on International Women's Day.

Gujarat's Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi said that Gujarat Police is taking a unique initiative. For the first time in the history of India, the entire security of the Prime Minister's program will be handled by women police personnel. This includes the arrival of the PM at the helipad in Vansi Borsi village of Navsari to secure his program venue. He said that all women police personnel, including more than 2,100 constables, 187 sub-inspectors, 61 police inspectors, 16 deputy superintendents of police, five superintendents of police, one Inspector General of Police, and an officer of Additional DGP rank, will be deployed in the security arrangements. The Prime Minister will address the 'Lakhpati Didi Sammelan' in Vansi Borsi village.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address more than 1.1 lakh women at the Lakhpati Didi program in Navsari, Gujarat on the occasion of International Women's Day on Saturday. PM Modi will distribute financial assistance of more than Rs 450 crore to more than 2.5 lakh women from more than 25,000 self-help groups (SHGs) across the state. PM Modi arrived in Gujarat on a two-day visit on Friday. PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 2,587 crore during his Gujarat visit.
