When to get waxing after a C-section: After a C-section delivery, every new mother wonders when she can resume her normal life and go out again. One question that often arises is when she can get grooming treatments like eyebrow shaping, waxing, and facials. Obstetrician-gynecologist Nimfiya Valecha answered these questions in a video shared on her Instagram handle.
In the video, the doctor explains that a C-section is not a normal delivery, but a major surgery. Therefore, it is very important to give the body enough time to heal completely. If you rush the process, it can affect the stitches and increase the risk of infection. So, let's find out how long after delivery you can get treatments like eyebrow shaping, waxing, and facials.
When can you get a shampoo and blow-dry?
According to Dr. Nimfiya, you can get a shampoo and blow-dry 48 to 72 hours after delivery. This will not cause any harm.
When can you get threading and upper lip hair removal?
The doctor says that after 2 weeks, you can call someone home to get threading, upper lip hair removal, and waxing of your hands and feet. However, do not get your stomach waxed during this time, as there are stitches around the abdomen, and the skin is very sensitive.
When can you get a facial or a cleanup?
The right time to get a facial or a cleanup is considered to be after 1 month. Even after a month, try to avoid treatments with too many chemicals and use only soft and skin-friendly products.

Keep this in mind:
Apart from all this, the doctor says that if you have a fever, excessive weakness, pain in the stitches, discharge, high blood pressure, diabetes, or any other medical problem, be sure to consult your doctor before getting any beauty treatment. The first 6 weeks after delivery are very sensitive. During this time, avoid activities that put excessive pressure on your abdomen, require prolonged lying down, or involve excessive heat and steam. This includes full body massages, abdominal waxing, or treatments that use a lot of chemicals and steam.
