Women's Health: Now the pain of period flu will not bother you! Try these home remedies before menstruation, know...

Siraj Siddiqui, an Ayurvedic doctor from Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, told Local18 that some symptoms start appearing in the body of women about a week before menstruation. These are like flu, such as feeling cold, stomach ache, and fever.

He said that many women face these problems due to hormonal changes during periods. Due to fluctuations in the levels of progesterone and estrogen, the immune system can weaken and symptoms like swelling and fatigue appear in the body. Some women also have symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and mood swings.

Dr Siddiqui further said that to get relief from period flu i.e. pre-menstrual syndrome, you should take a good diet, consume foods containing omega-3 fatty acids, get adequate sleep, rest, and drink the right amount of water. This keeps the body fluid and reduces fatigue.

Apart from this, you can use a heating pad in case of severe pain. In case of an unbearable problem, consult a good gynecologist. He said that women can make and drink tea made from lemon, turmeric, and ginger. For this, crush some ginger and cook it in a cup of water.

Add two pinches of turmeric in it and cook it on low flame. After this, add lemon juice to it filter it, and consume it. You can also add jaggery to it for sweetness. You will get relief from this.

Apart from this, roast celery and rock salt in a pan and consume it with lukewarm water. This will also provide relief. To reduce the symptoms of period flu, it is also very important to consume green vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats.

Dr. Siddiqui said that doing yoga and light exercise also improves the symptoms of period flu. Especially doing pranayama and stretching increases the amount of oxygen in the body, which reduces pain and fatigue. Problems occurring during menstruation can also be reduced by adopting meditation and relaxation techniques.
