You can keep it in an airtight container and enjoy it for many days later. Its taste is also excellent.

Ingredients
Amla – 500 grams
Sugar – 300 grams
Water – 1 cup
Salt – ½ teaspoon
Black salt – 1 teaspoon
Ajwain (dry ginger) – ½ teaspoon
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
Turmeric – ½ teaspoon
Sugar syrup
Recipe
- First of all, wash the amla thoroughly, remove the seeds, and cut it. After this, boil water in a vessel and add amla to it.
- Now boil it for 5-10 minutes. Then remove the amla and cool it. Now add 1 cup water and sugar in a pan and boil it.
- When the sugar dissolves completely and the syrup is ready, then add asafoetida, ajwain, black pepper, turmeric, and salt to it.

- Boil this syrup for 5-7 minutes so that the syrup becomes thick. When the temperature of the syrup cools down a bit, add lemon juice to it.
- Put the boiled gooseberry in the syrup and mix it well. Let it cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes so that the gooseberry can absorb the syrup and become tasty.
- Now take out the gooseberry candy and place it on a plate or tray to dry properly. Leave it in the sun to dry for 1-2 days.
- When the gooseberry is completely dry, then your sweet and sour gooseberry candy is ready.
