1 cup thin vermicelli (Sewai)
1 liter of milk
3-4 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
6-8 cashews
8-10 almonds
1 tablespoon raisins
3-4 green cardamom pods
A pinch of saffron (optional)
Easy Method for Making Sewai
Step 1: First, heat the ghee in a *kadai* (deep pan), add the vermicelli, and roast it until it turns a light golden color.
Step 2: Now, bring the milk to a boil in a separate pan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Step 3: Add the roasted vermicelli to the boiling milk and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Now, add the sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron.
Step 5: Add the cashews, almonds, and raisins, and cook for another 2 minutes.

Tips to Enhance the Flavor of Sewai
Always roast the vermicelli on a low flame.
