India's greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Sachin arrived as the President's guest and presented Murmu with his autographed Indian Test jersey. The star was accompanied by his wife Anjali and daughter Sara.

Talked about World Cup Hockey

Sachin said, the Hon'ble President and I talked about the World Cup Hockey in Bhubaneswar which I watched with my friend Dilip Tirkey. We talked about Odisha's food. When I was passing through the corridors of Rashtrapati Bhavan, I saw pictures of our freedom fighters on the walls. It gave me goosebumps. Tendulkar has visited Rashtrapati Bhavan many times to receive awards but this was the first time he came as the President's guest.

Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Sachin Tendulkar was recently honored with the Colonel CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) during the BCCI Naman Awards 2025. Tendulkar was the 31st player to receive this prestigious award. After being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Tendulkar said, "Thank you all for coming here. I am grateful to the BCCI, I cannot thank them enough. They have always been supportive. I am grateful to find my name in the list of award winners."
