Big news has come for Mumbai Indians fans ahead of the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The team's star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has fully recovered from injury and will play in the team's next match. Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed that Bumrah will be available for the team's next.

Bumrah joined the team before the match.
Mumbai Indians are scheduled to face RCB at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday in the IPL 2025 match. Before the match, the franchise released a video in which Bumrah joined the team after completing rehab at the Center of Excellence in Bangalore. Revealing about Bumrah's availability, Jayawardene said that this fast bowler will be available for the team's next match.
Jayawardene said in the press conference before the match, Bumrah arrived here last night. He completed his session at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and he is under the supervision of our physio, so he bowled today and now everything is fine.
Bumrah's return will strengthen the bowling attack.
Mumbai Indians have so far played four matches in IPL 2025, winning one and losing three. Satyanarayana Raju, Vignesh Puthur, and Ashwini Kumar were made debuts in Bumrah's absence. In Bumrah's absence, Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar are leading the fast bowling attack and captain Hardik Pandya is the other seam-bowling option in the line-up. This bowling line-up will be further strengthened with Bumrah's return. Bumrah made his IPL debut in 2013 and has been a part of the Mumbai team in every season so far. He has taken 165 wickets in 133 matches in this league. He could not play only in IPL 2023 due to injury. Even then he was suffering from a back stress fracture.
Bumrah has been out since January.
Bumrah was injured during the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Sydney on January 4. After this, he was out of the Champions Trophy which India won. Bumrah also underwent back surgery in March 2023. However, from then till January 2025, he was continuously a part of Team India and he also had to bowl a lot on the Australia tour. In such a situation, the same problem arose again. Now he is ready to return to the field again.
