OTT platforms are now making strides in regional cinema as well. The much-talked-about Kannada-Tulu film 'Jai' is set to have its digital premiere on the OTT platform ZEE5. This release marks a significant milestone for the platform, as 'Jai' will be the first Tulu film to premiere on ZEE5, with its Kannada version also available.

A Story Rooted in Coastal Karnataka
Directed by Rupesh Shetty, who also plays the lead role, the film blends drama, action, comedy, and socio-political commentary into a narrative deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of coastal Karnataka. The film tells the story of Jai, a young man from Simhabettu village, whose growing awareness of community issues propels him into a larger fight for the welfare of his people through local political participation.

A Stellar Cast and Sunil Shetty's Tulu Debut
'Jai' features a strong ensemble cast including Rupesh Shetty, Raj Deepak Shetty, Adhvithi Shetty, Arvind Bolar, Devdas Kapikad, Naveen P Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, and many other popular regional artists. The film also marks Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty's debut in Tulu cinema.

When and Where to Watch
During its theatrical release, 'Jai' garnered hundreds of screenings in both Kannada and Tulu languages, resulting in tremendous audience engagement. Jai will be available to stream on ZEE5 from February 6th in both Kannada and Tulu.
