We often make *chilla* (savory pancakes) using gram flour (*besan*), moong dal, or semolina (*suji*). But have you ever tried *lauki* (bottle gourd) *chilla*? If not, it is definitely worth a taste. This *chilla* is sure to become a favorite among both children and adults who usually dislike eating bottle gourd.

**Lauki Chilla Recipe**
Making *lauki chilla* is very easy; it can be prepared in just 20 minutes. Here is the recipe:
**Ingredients**
2 medium-sized bottle gourds (*lauki*)
1/2 cup gram flour (*besan*)
2 teaspoons semolina (*suji*)
2-3 green chilies
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
3-4 tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon *garam masala*
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves
**Method**
First, wash the bottle gourd thoroughly.
Then, grate the bottle gourd and place it in a mixing bowl.
Add the gram flour and semolina to the grated bottle gourd and prepare a batter. Ensure the batter is neither too thin nor too thick; keep it slightly thick.
Add the red chili powder, salt, *garam masala*, cumin powder, coriander leaves, and green chilies.
Mix all the spices thoroughly into the *chilla* batter.
Place a *tawa* (griddle) on the stove and grease it with oil to prevent the *chilla* from sticking.
Now, spread the batter on the *tawa* to form a round shape.
Cook it until the *chilla* turns light brown.
Then, flip it over, apply some oil, and cook the other side thoroughly.
Serve it with sauce or green chutney. Your piping hot *lauki chilla* is ready.
