Matrubhoomi: Crisis Looms Over 'Matrubhoomi' Release! Salman Khan's Film Has Not Yet Reached the CBFC...

Salman Khan is currently making headlines regarding the film *Matrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace*. The film was originally titled *Battle of Galwan*, but its name was changed just a short while ago. Now, reports suggest that the film has once again hit a roadblock before its release. According to various reports, the film has not yet been submitted to the Censor Board (CBFC), rendering its release date uncertain.

Salman Khan's film was initially scheduled for an April 2026 release; however, it was postponed due to numerous changes and technical formalities. Later, there was speculation that it would arrive in May 2026, but it is now being said that even this timeline appears unlikely.

**CBFC Has Not Received the Film**

Citing sources, *Mid-Day* reported that the film's team is still deliberating on the next steps, even after having implemented the necessary changes. A source stated, "At this stage, neither the Ministry of Defence, nor the Army, nor the CBFC has seen the film yet. The team is currently trying to determine what steps need to be taken to ensure a smooth release for the film."

**40% of the Film Reshot**

Meanwhile, according to a separate report by *Bollywood Hungama*, significant changes have been made to the film's storyline. Initially, the film was inspired by a real-life event; however, following suggestions from the Ministry of Defence, director Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan incorporated fictional elements into the narrative.

**Reference to China Removed?**

According to sources, approximately 40 percent of the film was reshot, with the new footage incorporating romantic sequences and backstory elements. Furthermore, the Ministry reportedly still retains certain objections regarding the film's content, which is causing delays in obtaining the necessary clearance. The report also claims that the filmmakers had previously been instructed to refrain from making any direct references to China within the film. The latest cut reportedly omits any mention of China by name; however, only the film's core team is privy to exactly how that specific context has been portrayed within the narrative.
