The release date for Nayanthara's upcoming film, *Mookuthi Amman 2*, has finally been set. The filmmakers released a new teaser for the movie on social media on Monday, September 14, 2026.

Along with the teaser, the makers announced the release date for this mythological film. It appears the movie is all set to clash with Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus, *Ramayana*, during Diwali 2026.

Sharing the teaser on their social media accounts on Monday, the production house Vels Film International wrote, "Presenting the teaser of *Rise of Mahashakti* in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Releasing on November 6, 2026. A spectacular mega divine entertainer. *Mookuthi Amman 2* will release in cinemas near you on November 6."

What will the story of *Mookuthi Amman 2* be?
The *Rise of Mahashakti* teaser opens with a horseman entering a cave surrounded by waterfalls; he has come to warn his queen. He says, "Enemy soldiers are approaching, for they have discovered that the child is here."

The story then shifts to the present day, where actress Urvashi is seen worshipping the Goddess. The teaser suggests that the narrative will unfold across two different time periods. Notably, *Mookuthi Amman 2* is the sequel to *Mookuthi Amman*, which was released on an OTT platform in 2020.
