Royal Challengers Bangalore did not have a good homecoming in IPL 2025. In the very first match of this season at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore had to face defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans. Now any defeat is disappointing for the players and the team. But despite this defeat, the atmosphere in the Bangalore camp was not full of despair and the reason for this was a young player of the team, who did such an act in front of Virat Kohli, which no one could believe after seeing it.
In the match played at Chinnaswamy Stadium on the evening of Wednesday, April 2, Bangalore had to bear the brunt of poor batting. Gujarat Titans achieved the target of 170 runs within 18 overs by losing only 2 wickets. After this defeat, the Bangalore players were disappointed and they discussed their performance in the dressing room and found out the reasons for this result. But as soon as the team left the dressing room and reached their hotel, the atmosphere had changed.
Cut the cake, then asked Kohli for watches.
As soon as the new date started after noon, the birthday of Swastik Chikara, one of the youngest players on the team, was celebrated. As soon as the team reached the hotel, a cake in Swastik's name was ready there. The entire team including head coach Andy Flower, captain Rajat Patidar, and star batsman Virat Kohli were present for the birthday celebration of this young batsman from Uttar Pradesh, who came to IPL for the first time.
After cutting the cake, this young batsman first made his 'Kohli Bhaiya' eat sweets and from here Swastik's mischief started. After feeding the cake to Kohli, when the legendary batsman did the same thing, Swastik bit Kohli's finger as soon as he ate the cake from Kohli's hand. Kohli had to be asked to let go of the finger and everyone laughed after hearing this. Then after a while, Swastik looked toward the camera and said, "Virat Bhai, gift me two or three watches." Haven't got a chance in IPL yet
RCB posted its video and fans also loved it a lot. Fans praised the fact that there is a good rapport between the senior and junior players of the team. As far as Swastik is concerned, Bengaluru bought him in the mega auction at a base price of 30 lakhs. He scored 499 runs with the help of 47 sixes in the UP T20 League and came into the limelight. Only after this RCB bet on him. However, he has not got a chance in IPL 2025 yet.
