India achieved Bangladesh's target of 229 runs by scoring 231 runs for four wickets with Gill's 101-run innings and Mohammad Shami's (five wickets) brilliant bowling. Shubman Gill told me after the match that we were getting orders from outside, I was told that I had to bat till the end. Was Team India's coach Gautam Gambhir sitting outside giving all these orders?

'Man of the Match' Shubman Gill said, "This was one of my best centuries. This is my first century in an ICC tournament. I am very happy. The pitch was not easy. Initially, the ball outside the off stump was not coming on the bat properly. That's why I used the crease against the fast bowlers. We were being given orders from outside."
Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto said, "Our start was not good. But then Tauhid Hridaya and Zakir Ali made a good partnership. In bowling, we could not capitalize on the opportunities of catches and run-outs. If we had capitalized on these opportunities, the situation could have been different.''
After winning the match, Rohit said in the award ceremony, "You have to be confident before every match. You have to be prepared for every situation during the match. As a team, I think we adapted ourselves well to the circumstances. Talking about the ups and downs during the match, he said, "There is always pressure in a tournament of this level, but experience comes in handy in such situations."
