The case of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Hyderabad Cricket Association has now reached the BCCI. Sunrisers Hyderabad has requested BCCI for help. In a mail written to the board, the IPL 2016 champion team has accused Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Jagan Mohan Rao of blackmailing them in exchange for tickets for matches at their home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. According to a Cricbuzz report, SRH owner Sun Group has informed the HCA's Apex Council members about this matter in writing.

Serious allegation by Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad said, 'HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao is resorting to threats, coercion and blackmail. Rao threatened our staff even before the IPL started, after which our team, out of fear, wrote a mail to him and complained about it.'
Controversy over tickets
The whole matter is about tickets. Rao had demanded 3900 tickets (10% of the total tickets) for every home match of SRH. The team agreed to this demand to avoid controversy, but later Rao demanded to replace 20 tickets of F-12 A section with another box. When SRH refused, the HCA President locked the corporate box (F3) allotted to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka on March 27.
SRH wrote in its mail, 'HCA President locked the F3 box a few hours before the match, even though he knew that it was for the LSG owner. This was just an attempt to blackmail us and pressure us for 20 more complimentary tickets.'

SRH demanded a meeting
The team has demanded a meeting from HCA to discuss the behavior of President Rao. SRH clarified that they have no complaints against other officials of HCA. They wrote, 'We want the Apex Council to meet us in person so that we can show proof. Rao's behavior is wrong, but we want to resolve the matter peacefully. According to reports, Sunrisers Hyderabad has also talked about leaving this ground. Now it has to be seen what action BCCI and HCA take in this matter. SRH won one match this season and this controversy can affect the performance of the team.
