Team India: Will Indian teams not play in Asia Cup and Emerging Teams Asia Cup? BCCI secretary gave a big update..

Even though a ceasefire has been signed between India and Pakistan, tensions between the two countries are continuing. Some media reports are claiming that this may also affect the cricket relations between the two countries. According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to stay out of the upcoming Men's Asia Cup and Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Now, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has stated on this. He said there is no truth in such reports.

Saikia denied

Devjit Saikia said - Since this morning, some such reports have come to our notice that the BCCI has decided not to participate in the Asia Cup and Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup, both of which are ACC (Asian Cricket Council) events. There is no truth in such reports yet. The BCCI has neither discussed nor taken any action regarding the upcoming ACC events, let alone written anything to the ACC. At the moment, our main focus is on the current IPL and the England series to be held after that, both men and women.

When will it be held?
India is to host the Men's Asia Cup 2025. The Women's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2025 will be held in Sri Lanka. Reports are claiming that the BCCI has informed the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) about withdrawing from both these tournaments. Currently, the President of the Asian Cricket Council is Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
