This is a common issue, as heat and humidity cause it to start melting. With a few simple home remedies, you can keep your jaggery dry and firm for an extended period—even during the hot summer months.

1. **Store in an Airtight Container:** Never leave jaggery exposed in the open. Store it in a high-quality, airtight container. This prevents air and moisture from entering the container, ensuring the jaggery remains fit for consumption.
2. **Keep in a Cool, Dry Place:** Do not place the jaggery container in a spot in the kitchen that receives direct sunlight or bright light. Instead, choose a location free from direct sun exposure or excessive heat. Keeping it away from moisture is crucial. Also, avoid placing the container near the gas stove, as the heat could cause the jaggery to melt and become sticky.
