Legs up against the wall. Benefits: In today's fast-paced life, stress, fatigue, and weakness have become common problems. After a long day of work, hectic activities, and hours spent standing, it's natural to experience pain, swelling, and heaviness in your legs. Here, we're sharing a unique method that, if practiced for just 10 minutes daily, can relieve these problems. Furthermore, this unique method can also benefit you in many other ways. All you need to do is lie down with your legs propped up against a wall. Women's health specialist and certified menopause coach Nidhi Kakkar explains this unique trick. In a video shared on her Instagram handle, Nidhi Kakkar explains that practicing this for just 10 minutes daily can provide tremendous benefits to both body and mind. Let's learn more about it:
How to do this practice?
For this, lie down on a yoga mat or sheet on the floor.
Now, keep your back flat on the ground and lift your legs into the air, using only the wall for support.
In yoga, this is also called 'Viparita Karani'.
Relax your hands and take deep breaths.
Remain in this position for 5-10 minutes.
Bring your legs back down after the set time.
What happens when you lie down with your legs elevated?
Improves oxygen supply
Nidhi Kakkar explains, when you lie down with your legs elevated, gravity helps blood flow upward from your legs, toward your heart and brain. This can improve oxygen supply in the body.
Body Detox
This pose can help activate the lymphatic system, which can help reduce inflammation and detoxify the body.
Reduces stress
In this pose, the body is completely relaxed, calming the nervous system. Slow breathing calms the mind, reduces stress, and can increase coping capacity.
What happens when you boil licorice in water and drink it? A nutritionist explains how much licorice should be consumed.
Improves digestion
This pose also supports digestion. Practicing this pose for just 10 minutes daily can relieve heaviness or bloating in the stomach.
Relieves leg pain and swelling
Apart from these, if you constantly experience pain, fatigue, and swelling in your legs, this method can also help you find relief.

When to do it?
According to Nidhi Kakkar, you can do this every night before bed or at any time of the day by taking 10 minutes. This small habit can help relax your body, calm your mind, and ease the burden of fatigue. Gradually, if you incorporate it into your routine, you will notice a clear difference. So, you can try it yourself.
