6-8 soya chaap sticks
½ cup curd (fresh and thick)
¼ cup fresh cream
2 tbsp kasuri methi
2 tbsp gram flour (roasted)
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp green chilli paste
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp black pepper powder
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp chaat masala
½ tsp salt (according to taste)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp butter or ghee
Method of making Afghani Soya Chaap
To make Afghani Soya Chaap, first of all, you have to prepare the soya chaap. For this, soak the soya chaap in hot water for 5-10 minutes. Let it soak like this for a while and then take it out of the water, dry it, and cut it into small pieces.

Now add curd, cream, roasted gram flour, ginger paste, green chili paste, kasuri methi, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, black pepper, chaat masala, salt, and lemon juice in a large bowl and mix well. Add soya chaap to it and coat it well and keep it in the fridge to marinate for 30-40 minutes.
Now it is time to grill it, so heat a tawa or grill pan and add some butter or ghee to it. Fix the marinated soya chaap in a tandoori stick and bake it on low flame till it becomes golden from all sides. If you want, you can bake it in a tandoor or oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
