Akshay Khanna's film 'State of Siege: Temple Attack', released on OTT in 2021, is now all set to release on the big screen after four years. The film is released in theaters with its new title. Now the film is going to be released in theaters on July 4 with the title 'Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti'.

The makers themselves have announced the release of the film in theaters. A poster related to the film has been shared on social media by the makers. It shows a frightening glimpse of the pillars of the temple. Along with this, the shadow of a commando with a gun in his hand is visible. The caption reads, "A terrorist incident met with unmatched bravery. A story of courage, sacrifice, and survival comes alive. 'Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti' in cinemas from July 4."
The film is directed by Ken Ghosh.
Directed by Ken Ghosh, the film is based on the tragic terrorist attack on the Akshardham temple in Gujarat in 2002 and the counter-operation carried out by India's elite National Security Guard (NSG) to neutralize the terrorists. The film is a standalone sequel to the web series 'State of Siege: 26/11', which focused on the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
