Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the bond between siblings. On this day, along with tying the *Rakhi* and spending time with family, sisters are often excited about their appearance. If you desire beautiful, glowing skin for Raksha Bandhan, there is no need to visit a salon for an expensive facial. While gold facials are popular for providing an instant glow, certain ingredients found in salon facials or store-bought kits can irritate sensitive skin.

In such cases, you can perform a simple DIY facial using ingredients readily available at home. However, since natural ingredients affect different skin types differently, always conduct a patch test before applying any new mixture to your entire face. This easy facial can help give your skin a clean and fresh look before Raksha Bandhan.
**Start by cleansing your face**
Always begin the facial by cleansing your face. Take some milk in a bowl and gently wipe your face using a cotton pad. Afterward, wash your face with lukewarm water; this helps remove accumulated dirt and excess oil.
**Exfoliate gently**
You can use a mild scrub to remove dead skin cells. Mix some honey with coffee powder for this purpose. It is best to avoid lemon juice, as it can irritate sensitive skin. Apply the mixture to your face with a very light touch, avoiding harsh rubbing, and then rinse with water.
**Steam your face**
Next, give your face a gentle steam. You can use a facial steamer if you have one at home. Ensure the steam isn't too hot to avoid burning your skin, and limit the steaming process to just a few minutes.
**Apply a homemade face pack**
Now, prepare a face pack by mixing yogurt, a pinch of turmeric, and honey in a bowl. If your skin reacts well to coconut oil, you can also add a few drops of it to the mixture. Apply a thin layer of the prepared pack to your face and leave it on for about 10–15 minutes.
Wash your face and apply moisturizer.
To remove the face pack, wash your face with normal or lukewarm water. Afterward, pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Finally, apply a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.

Keep in mind:
Acidic ingredients like lemon and scrubs can cause irritation or increase sensitivity in some people's skin. Therefore, perform a patch test first, and wash it off immediately if you experience any irritation. It is better to try this out beforehand rather than experimenting with a new DIY remedy right before Raksha Bandhan.
