Banking Update: Bank employees will not get the Eid holiday, this is the big reason..

The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on March 31. In such a situation, there are holidays in all the government offices of the country. But, RBI has canceled the holidays of bank employees. March 31 is the last day of the financial year 2024-25, so RBI has canceled the leave of bank employees. The bank has made this announcement to properly manage the process of financial transactions on the last day of the financial year.

It is the last day of the financial year. In such a situation, RBI has decided to open banks to balance the financial transactions. Earlier banks were to be opened only in Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh, but later RBI decided to open banks all over the country.

All work will not be done.

The bank will remain open on Eid on March 31, but not all types of work will be done in the banks on that day. Some fixed transactions will be done. On March 31, payments related to income tax, customs duty, excise duty, and GST will be made. Only payments related to the distribution of pensions and government allowances will be possible.

Digital payments will continue.

Banks will remain closed on Eid. Only a few works will be done by visiting banks. But, you do not need to panic. Because mobile banking facilities, online fund transfer, and government tax payment services will remain available. You will not need to go to the branch for these works.

Banks will remain closed on April 1 as well.

March 31 is the last day of the financial year. Banks will open due to closing day. But on the second day i.e. April 1, work will be closed everywhere except some states of the country. Banks will remain open in the Himalayan region, Mizoram, West Bengal and Meghalaya. They will remain closed in other places.
