Beauty Tips: A beautician from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, has shared some valuable advice. You can now treat blemishes or tanning caused by sun exposure and dust using simple home remedies. The beautician explained that applying easily available household ingredients—rather than expensive, chemical-laden commercial creams—yields faster and more effective results. She noted that a paste made from gram flour (besan) and yogurt is highly beneficial for facial care.

Gram flour helps cleanse the skin of dirt and excess oil, while the natural properties of yogurt moisturize the skin, leaving it soft and radiant. She added that Fuller's earth (Multani mitti) is also considered beneficial for the skin; it deeply cleanses the face, removes excess oil, and keeps pores clear. However, it is advisable to perform a patch test on the skin before trying any home remedy. The beautician warned against the excessive use of chemical-based creams without professional advice, as they can cause allergies, irritation, or other skin issues.
Sapna Jadon, a renowned beautician from Agra, advised against using chemical-laden commercial creams on the face. She stated that such products gradually deteriorate the skin's condition. Sapna noted that while many chemical-based creams available in the market claim to make the skin fairer and more radiant initially, their continuous use without professional guidance can cause internal damage to the skin.
She explained that the effects may not be apparent at first, but over time, issues such as skin thinning, allergies, irritation, blemishes, and other problems can arise. Sapna emphasized that every individual's skin is unique; therefore, one should not use a cream simply based on someone else's recommendation. She further advised that if there is a serious skin issue, one should consult a dermatologist before using any cream. Sapna Jadon, a renowned beautician from Agra, stated that a paste made of gram flour (besan) and yogurt, as well as Fuller's earth (Multani mitti), acts as an excellent remedy for facial care. She noted that these have no side effects. Fuller's earth deeply cleanses the face, helps reduce excess oil, and leaves the skin feeling refreshed. Meanwhile, the gram flour and yogurt paste is considered effective for removing dead skin cells, improving complexion, and keeping the skin soft.

She added that other home remedies—such as aloe vera gel, rose water, cucumber juice, and honey—can also be incorporated into one's skincare routine. However, since every individual's skin is different, it is advisable to perform a patch test on a small area of the skin before trying any home remedy. Sapna also advised against the excessive use of chemical-laden products when not necessary and emphasized the importance of consulting a specialist doctor if any serious skin issues arise.
