Chaitra Navratri: The Worship of Chaitra Navratri Is Incomplete Without These Items..

Chaitra Navratri 2026: Chaitra Navratri is set to commence on Thursday, March 19, 2026. This is a major festival in the Hindu faith, regarded as a symbol of new beginnings and joy. It is believed that during these sacred days of Navratri, Goddess Durga descends to the Earthly realm. Furthermore, she showers her grace upon all her devotees and fulfills their wishes. During this period—from private homes to temples and worship pavilions—the nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped with elaborate rituals and devotion. Meanwhile, devotees observe fasts, perform *Kalash Sthapana* (ritual pot installation), and remain immersed in devotion to the Mother Goddess.

Through the power of these observances, suffering is dispelled from the devotee's life, paving the way for happiness and prosperity. However, the worship of the Goddess should always be performed using a complete set of ritual items. This ensures that one receives the full spiritual merit of the worship and also pleases the Mother Goddess. Therefore, let us explore the comprehensive list of items required for the Chaitra Navratri worship ceremony.

Worship Materials
To begin preparing for the *Puja* (worship), first purchase *Batashas* (sugar puffs), camphor, a brass lamp (*Diya*), soil, an earthen pot, and a lid for the pot.
Next, include a *Kalava* (sacred red thread), cotton wicks, *Sindoor* (vermilion), incense sticks, a small quantity of clean, whole rice grains for the ritual, rubber bands, a nose ring (*Nath*), a floral garland (*Gajra*), and a *Maang Tikka* (forehead ornament).
Additionally, procure earrings, a comb, a mirror, and a new, clean red *Chunari* (sacred scarf) for the Goddess.

Following this, arrange a clean *Lota* (ritual water vessel), a dry coconut, a floral garland, betel leaves (*Paan*), garments for the Mother Goddess, cotton wicks, and either sesame oil or *Ghee* (clarified butter).
