On the route from Abu Road to Mount Abu, this temple is the first one encountered. Located in Arna village, it is known as Arna Hanuman or Baleshwar Hanuman Temple. It serves as the first point of faith for pilgrims traveling to Mount Abu. Many who begin their journey along the mountain road stop here to seek the blessings of Bajrangbali (Hanuman) and pray for a safe trip. There is also a tradition of offering jaggery and chickpeas (*gur-chana*) at the temple. Devotees believe that seeking the blessings of Hanuman ensures a safe journey, free from any obstacles.

The Champeshwar Hanuman Temple, situated in Sani village near Mount Abu, is a center of faith for both the local townspeople and devotees from surrounding villages. Surrounded by natural greenery, the idol housed in this temple is believed to be *swayambhu* (self-manifested). According to local folklore, the idol of Hanuman was discovered long ago amidst *champa* trees and caves, which led to the commencement of worship at this site.
Located in the Delwara area of Mount Abu, the Gyan Gufa (Knowledge Cave) and Gyaneshwar Hanuman Temple are distinguished by their grand idol and architectural style. The primary attraction here is a nearly 21-foot-tall idol of Hanuman, depicted holding *manjire* (cymbals) and immersed in devotion to Lord Rama. According to devotees, the temple was established in 1965.
Within the Gyan Gufa Hanuman Temple complex, the marble shrines, the idols of Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman, and the intricately carved elephants at the entrance showcase the site's exquisite architecture. It is believed that in ancient times, sages and ascetics used to perform penance and spiritual practices within the Gyan Gufa.
The Vanvasi Hanuman Temple, located in the Gaumukh area of Mount Abu, is also considered the gateway to Gaumukh. Devotees typically begin their pilgrimage to the Maharshi Vashistha Ashram and the Gaumukh Kund by first offering prayers here. The stairs leading to Gaumukh Temple begin at the Vanvasi Hanuman Temple. It is known as 'Vanvasi Hanuman Temple' (Hanuman Temple of the Forest) because it is surrounded by a dense forest.
In addition to these four Hanuman temples in Mount Abu, there is another well-known Hanuman temple located on a hill at the foothills—in the Abu Road area—called 'Hanuman Tekri Temple.' It is also referred to as 'Tekri Wale Hanuman Temple.' Devotees traveling to Mount Abu via the bypass from Gujarat often visit this temple before continuing their journey. It is believed that if a devotee observes a fast for five consecutive Tuesdays and offers prayers here, their wishes are fulfilled.
