Ghagra-Choli Look: Durga Puja is celebrated during Sharadiya Navratri, a time when everyone eagerly awaits Garba nights and Dandiya events. Girls dress up in beautiful ghagra-cholis to attend these Garba nights. While the craze for wearing traditional outfits runs high among fashion enthusiasts, it isn't always necessary to buy a new ghagra-choli for the occasion.

If you already have Indian or fusion garments in your wardrobe, you can style them creatively to create a stunning Garba look. This saves money while giving an old outfit a fresh, new vibe.
You can pair items like an old kurti, long skirt, full-length dupatta, or saree—already in your wardrobe—for the Garba night.
**Make a Kurti Part of Your Garba Look**
If you own a colorful kurti or one featuring mirror work, pair it with a long skirt or palazzo pants. Accessorizing with oxidized jewelry and a dupatta will further enhance the look.
**Create a Stylish Look with an Old Saree**
Instead of draping a light Gujarati-print or printed saree in the traditional manner, try a different style. You can add a modern touch to the look by wearing a belt or a traditional *kamarbandh* (waist belt) at the waist.
**Long Skirt Instead of a Lehenga**
Pair a flared or printed skirt from your wardrobe with a contrasting blouse or a short kurti. Adding a colorful dupatta can further elevate the Garba vibe.
**Create Dhoti Salwar Pants from a Dupatta**
Fold a dupatta in half and position it to wrap around your waist. Start making pleats facing each other on both sides of the upper section of the dupatta; this creates the characteristic volume and traditional look of dhoti salwar pants. Secure the pleats with a safety pin or tie them tightly around your waist with a belt. Take the remaining *pallu* (or both ends) between your legs, pull them towards the back, and tuck them in to create the perfect *dhoti* silhouette.
**Transform Your Look with a Dupatta**
Style a simple *kurti* and pants with a mirror-work, *Bandhani*, or colorful *dupatta*. Adding traditional *jhumkas*, bangles, and a *bindi* will instantly give the outfit a festive vibe.
**Pay Special Attention to Jewelry**
If your outfit is simple, accessories like oxidized *jhumkas*, chokers, bangles, anklets, and a traditional *kamarbandh* (waist belt) can make the look Garba-ready. A *bindi* and a bright lip color can also add a beautiful finishing touch to your makeup.

**A Quick Styling Tip**
Comfort is crucial when dancing at Garba. Choose an outfit that allows for easy movement and ensure your jewelry and *dupatta* are securely fastened. You can achieve a stunning Garba look without spending much by styling existing clothes with new combinations and accessories.
