Everyone desires soft and shiny hair, and we often don't hesitate to buy expensive conditioners from the market to achieve this. However, it is important to realize that just as external dust, dirt, and pollution damage hair, expensive chemical-laden products can also leave hair weak and lifeless.

If you are looking for natural ways to condition your hair, here are some common household ingredients that work effectively as conditioners.
**Aloe Vera Gel**
If you have frizzy hair, aloe vera gel can help tame the frizz. To make a conditioner, mix 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 2–3 drops of any essential oil. Apply this mixture to your hair after shampooing and rinse with plain water after 5 minutes. Alternatively, you can simply use the gel directly as a conditioner after shampooing without mixing anything else into it.
**Apple Cider Vinegar**
Use apple cider vinegar to balance your hair's pH levels, deeply cleanse the scalp, and add shine. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar into 1 cup of water. Use this mixture as a conditioner after shampooing your hair.
**Rice Water (Starch)**
You may not know this, but rice water is a boon for both your skin and your hair. Whenever you cook rice, collect the starchy water in a bowl. Your natural conditioner is ready; apply it after washing your hair and rinse with plain water after 10 minutes.
**Curd (Yogurt)**
The lactic acid and protein found in curd naturally condition the hair while also cleansing it deeply. Apply a curd-based conditioner before washing your hair. To prepare it, mix 2 teaspoons of onion juice and 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seed paste (made from seeds soaked overnight) into the curd, and apply the mixture from the scalp down to the ends of your hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes, then shampoo your hair.

Honey
Make a conditioner by mixing 2 tablespoons of honey with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Apply this mixture thoroughly to your hair an hour before you plan to shampoo. After a while, wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
