Gluten Intolerance: If you want good health, then it is very important to improve your diet. Health experts say that all people should include nutritious things, whole grains, nuts, and seeds in their diet in plenty.
Rice, roti, and whole grains are common in Indian food, but do you know that some people can have problems even with the consumption of such common daily things? Especially the consumption of foods that contain gluten can be problematic for the body. This condition is called gluten intolerance in medical language.

Gluten intolerance is a health condition in which a person has difficulty digesting a protein called gluten. This protein is mainly found in foods like wheat, barley, and rye. Therefore, such people also have to avoid eating things like roti-paratha, bread, pasta, and biscuits.
Gluten Intolerance and its Cases
If we look at the statistics, we find that in India, an estimated 6 to 8 million (60-80 lakh) people have celiac disease, which is a form of gluten intolerance.
Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease, in which the person's immune system starts damaging its intestines in an attempt to digest gluten. In such a situation, if you eat things containing gluten, then it starts causing problems like frequent diarrhea or constipation, bloating and gas formation in the stomach, stomach pain, fatigue and weakness, and skin rashes.
Some people may be allergic to gluten things even without celiac disease.
Why does gluten intolerance occur?
Gluten intolerance, especially non-celiac gluten sensitivity, is a condition in which the body reacts abnormally to gluten. The exact reasons why this happens are not fully understood, but experts believe that many factors including genetics, environmental factors, and gut microbiome may be responsible for this.
Some research suggests that gluten intolerance may also be due to problems digesting certain carbohydrates found in wheat and other gluten-containing grains. These carbohydrates start fermenting in the intestine, which can cause symptoms like bloating, gas, and stomach pain.
How to know if you have also become a victim?
To find out if you also have gluten intolerance, some symptoms should be paid attention to.
If you get stomach pain, gas, diarrhea constipation, or headache after eating normal food like roti, wheat, or barley, then you should be careful. Some people may also get red rashes on their skin after consuming these things. If you are also having these problems often after meals, then contact a doctor and get the condition diagnosed correctly.

What should people who have gluten intolerance do?
Doctors diagnose why you are having this problem through serological tests to detect celiac disease or some tests to detect the condition of the intestines. If you have gluten intolerance, then start taking some precautions.
There is currently no medicine for this problem, the only preventive measure is to stay away from gluten-free diets.
Such people are advised to avoid wheat, barley, rye, and products made from them.
For people with gluten intolerance, options like millet, rice, maize, sorghum, and buckwheat can be good, definitely consult a doctor about this.
