Rules and important things about Hariyali Teej fast

1. Hariyali Teej fast is observed for unbroken good fortune and to get a desired life partner. This fast is observed without water. This fast is observed from sunrise of Tritiya to sunrise of Chaturthi.

2. Hariyali Teej fast is observed after sunrise on Chaturthi Tithi. Water is consumed after sunrise.

3. Women do sixteen adornments during Hariyali Teej fast. They wear green colored saree, suit, or other clothes.

4. Green color has importance on Hariyali Teej. Green color is considered a symbol of good luck. Because of this, women use green saree, green bangles, green bindi, green garland, etc. in Hariyali Teej fast. The green color is given priority in sixteen adornments.

5. On this day, fasting women get ready like a bride. They apply mehendi on their hands.

6. Ganesh ji, Mata Parvati, and Shiva ji are worshipped in the Teej fast. New saree, dupatta, suhag ki pitari, makeup items, etc., are offered to Mata Parvati.

7. On this day, the fasting person should follow the rules of celibacy. Water, fruits, milk, food, etc., are not consumed in this fast.
