Navratri 2025 food recipe: Light, nutritious, and easily digestible food is necessary during fasting. This kheer is full of energy. The taste of milk, dry fruits, and cardamom makes it special.

Sabudana kheer is light and nutritious to eat during fasting. It is ready in just 20 minutes and gives instant energy to the body.
To make it, sago, milk, sugar, cardamom, dry fruits, and ghee are needed. It is made from very few things, which you will easily find at home.
Before making this kheer, soak the sago in water for at least 30 minutes so that it becomes soft and easy to cook.
Heat the milk add the soaked sago to it and cook on low flame. Keep stirring it well so that the kheer becomes thick and tasty.
When the sago is cooked well, add sugar to it as per taste. Cook it well till it dissolves so that the sweetness gets mixed evenly in every part.
Add cardamom powder to enhance the aroma and taste of kheer. If you want to make it more special, then you can soak some saffron threads in lukewarm milk and add it. This will make the color of the kheer light golden and the taste will also be amazing.
Adding cashews, almonds and raisins not only enhances its taste but it is also good for health. If you want, you can also add chopped makhana or chironji, which will make the texture of the kheer even more delicious.

When the kheer thickens well and all the spices and dry fruits are mixed well in it, take it off the gas. It can be served hot or cold. For cold kheer, keep it in the fridge for a few hours. This will prove to be a great sweet to eat during fasting.
