Kids on social media: Today, along with adults, children are also active on social media. Be it Instagram or Facebook, they have an account. Many parents know this and some are unaware of this. A few months ago, a draft was prepared under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Under this, children under the age of 18 were asked to obtain the consent of their parents to open an account on social media. At the same time, Local Circle conducted a survey in which 88% of the parents said that they are in favor of the draft because their children are active on social media by hiding their names and age. Children being online on this platform often makes them victims of crime. It also affects their studies. Parents need to keep an eye on their children.

Crores of children on social media
According to a study published in 'The Hindu', about 70% of children aged 14 to 16 in India are connected to social media. At the same time, according to an estimate, about 15 crore children in the country are on this platform. In such a situation, it is a big challenge for parents to keep their children away from it. Today's children have seen mobile phones around them since childhood. Parents also handed over mobile phones to them when they saw them crying, due to which using it became their habit. It is not right to force a child and neither will he stay away from social media by scolding him. Parents should talk to them in a very smart way. Also, many apps monitor mobile phones.
Include knowledge of social media in parenting.
Parenting expert Ashita Bhargava says that nowadays children start maturing from the age of 8. Start telling children about social media at this age itself. Tell them both it is good and bad so that the child does not open a secret account secretly. Tell them that social media is a public space where there is no privacy in their life. Nothing is true in this virtual world.
Give mobile to children only for studies.
Do not use social media in front of the child.
Parents are the first teachers of a child. If the parents are busy using social media at the dinner table, then the child also learns this thing quickly. Therefore, try to stay away from mobile in front of the child as much as possible.
Keep him busy with hobbies
If you want to keep the child away from mobile, then parents must send him to play with children of his age. Nowadays there are more single families. In such a situation, parents keep children at home because they feel that the child will get spoiled outside and to avoid boredom, the child starts taking the help of a mobile. Therefore, if he stays with children of his age, he will talk to them and forget social media. Similarly, keep the child busy in the hobby class of his choice and keep giving some activity at home as well.

Talk to children
According to the report of the American Psychological Association (APA), 60% of the children who are active on social media are those whose parents do not have a good relationship or whose parenting is lacking. It is important for every parent to give time to their child. When they sit and talk with the child, the child starts sharing all the things of their heart with them and they prefer to connect with the real world instead of the virtual world.
