Chennai Super Kings (CSK) veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has broken his silence on the news of his retirement from IPL in the latest podcast. The rumor of Dhoni's retirement gained momentum when Dhoni's parents also reached the stadium to watch the match played between CSK and Delhi Capitals at Chepauk. However, the news of Dhoni's retirement turned out to be a rumor as he did not make any such announcement after the match.

Dhoni has now broken his silence on these reports and assured fans in Raj Shamani's podcast that he is not saying goodbye to his career at the end of this season. Dhoni said that he would give his body eight months to see if he can still play at the age of 44. He still has time to know whether he will say goodbye to this league.
Dhoni said - the body will decide.
Dhoni said in the podcast, no, not yet, I am still playing in the IPL. I keep things simple and give it a year. Right now I am 43 years old and will be 44 by the end of IPL 2025. After this I will have 10 months to know whether I can play further or not. But I do not decide this, but my body does.

Coach Fleming also rejected
After the CSK match, the same question was asked to coach Stephen Fleming. On this, Fleming said that he has not discussed retirement with Dhoni. Fleming said about Dhoni's retirement, no, it is not my job to end his journey. I don't know anything. I am just enjoying working with him. He is still moving forward strongly. I don't even ask these days. You people only ask about this.
