Out of the 10 teams playing in IPL-18, six have had the honor of winning this trophy, but four teams have not yet won the title. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Supergiants have not won the IPL yet. These four teams are coming out this time to bet on their first title win on the strength of new confidence and a new captain.

All four teams have not only changed their captains but have also made big changes in the team and coaching staff. It remains to be seen whether the changes made by these four teams in every field will pay off or not. Out of these four, three teams are such that after reaching the final of IPL, they remained away from the title. Among these, RCB has reached the final three times and Delhi-Punjab teams have reached the final once each. Lucknow has not even been able to enter the final.
Patidar will take RCB across
RCB has chosen a new captain in the form of Rajat Patidar. They have added Dinesh Karthik as their mentor, while Omkar Salvi will play the role of bowling coach. Andy Flower is responsible for coaching. RCB has added experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood to their fast bowling department this time. They have spent an amount of 23.25 crores on both of them. Then Virat Kohli will leave no stone unturned this time to give RCB its first title in the last phase of his career.
Pant-Zaheer support for Lucknow
Lucknow Supergiants have made Rishabh Pant the new captain of the team. He has been given this responsibility in place of KL Rahul. Pant will be under pressure initially in the first season with Lucknow. The fitness of their fast bowling trio Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan, and Mohsin Khan is in doubt. After this, only the main bowlers Akashdeep, Shamar Joseph, and Ravi Bishnoi remain in their fleet. However, Lucknow has the legendary Zaheer Khan as a mentor. Justin Langer has been retained in the role of head coach.
Axar and Badani will change Delhi's fortunes together.
Delhi Capitals gave the responsibility of captaincy to an all-rounder in the form of Axar Patel, which people had less expectations of. Hemang Badani has been appointed as the new head coach in place of Ponting. At the same time, England's veteran Kevin Pietersen has been given the responsibility of a mentor. Matthew Moats will be the assistant coach and former Indian fast bowler Munaf Patel will be the bowling coach. Not only this, experienced Faf du Plessis will be his vice-captain.

Punjab trusts the Shreyas-Ponting pair.
Punjab Kings have handed over the captaincy to Shreyas Iyer, who made KKR the winner last year. Not only this, he has made changes in the coaching staff and appointed former Delhi and Mumbai coach Ricky Ponting as the head coach. It remains to be seen whether the pair of Shreyas and Ponting can change Punjab's fortunes or not. Punjab is such a team that changed the rest of the team while retaining Prabhsimran and Shashank. They retained Arshdeep Singh for 18 crores using the Right to Match card. They have taken the services of Yuzvendra Chahal as the leg spinner.
