IRCTC Shri Ramayana Yatra: IRCTC keeps bringing many cheap and convenient tour packages to give travellers a glimpse of India on a low budget. In this episode, IRCTC has come up with a new tour package to visit 30 pilgrimage sites related to Lord Shri Ram, named 'Shri Ramayana Yatra'. IRCTC has started a special 17-day train journey to connect the major places related to the life of Lord Shri Ram. This Bharat Gaurav train will travel from Ayodhya to Rameswaram and will give a spiritual and cultural experience to the devotees of Ram.

When and where will the journey start

'Shri Ramayana Yatra' will start from Safdarjung Railway Station in the capital Delhi, from 25 July 2025. A total distance of about 7500 km will be covered in this 17-day rail journey. The route of the journey will take you from Ayodhya to Rameswaram, Kanchipuram, and Bhadrachalam via the main sites.

Ayodhya - Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi, Ram Ki Paidi.

Nandigram - Bharat Mandir.

Sitamarhi (Bihar) – Birthplace of Sita Ji.

Janakpur (Nepal) – Ram-Janaki Temple (by road).

Buxar – Ramrekha Ghat, Rameshwarnath Temple.

Varanasi – Kashi Vishwanath, Tulsi Temple, Sankatmochan Temple, Ganga Aarti.

Prayagraj, Shringaverpur, Chitrakoot – Including night stay (by road).

Nashik – Trimbakeshwar, Panchavati.

Hampi – Anjaneya Hill (Hanuman's birthplace), Vitthal and Virupaksha Temple.

Rameshwaram – Ramanathaswamy Temple, Dhanushkodi. The journey will conclude on the 17th day with a return to Delhi.

Ticket and booking details

The name of the package is Shri Ramayana Yatra by Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train. The fare for this journey of 17 days and 16 nights is Rs 82,950 per person for standard class. For the superior class, tickets can be booked for Rs 1,02,095 per person. This tour package will include food, AC coach, a hotel stay, bus transfer, a guide, insurance, etc.
