There is immense excitement among audiences for director Nelson Dilipkumar's highly anticipated action-thriller, 'Jailer 2'. Rajinikanth is set to appear in an action-packed avatar once again in the film. With this movie, Indian cinema's 'Dada'—Mithun Chakraborty—is making a spectacular comeback to the Tamil film industry after more than a decade. During the recently held 'Jailer 2 Super Show', superstar Rajinikanth shared a highly entertaining and interesting anecdote, revealing a unique condition Mithun Da had set for the filmmakers regarding his role.

Several legendary stars are set to appear together in 'Jailer 2', including veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty. At the 'Jailer 2 Super Show', Rajinikanth recounted this fascinating story involving Mithun Chakraborty. He mentioned that when the film's team approached Mithun, the first thing he asked about was his character.

The Friendship Between Rajinikanth and Mithun Chakraborty
Rajinikanth is returning to the role of 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian in 'Jailer 2'. At the event, he shared this interesting anecdote about Mithun Chakraborty. He explained that when the film's team approached Mithun, he immediately inquired about his character. He recalled Mithun jokingly asking, "Am I the villain? Will I have to get beaten up by Rajinikanth?"

Later, when the two stars met during the WAVES Summit, the conversation turned to the project once again. Mithun Da told his old friend Rajinikanth, "If you ask me to, I will do this film. But I have one condition... your character, 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian, must neither beat me up nor shoot at me." Rajinikanth responded with a laugh, saying he would consult the director before giving an answer, although he knew Mithun Da was remarking in a lighthearted manner.

This marks only the second Tamil film project for Mithun Chakraborty; he made his Tamil debut in 2015 with the movie *Yagavarayinum Naa Kaakka*. Prior to this, the two stalwarts had worked together in director Ramesh Sippy's 1989 film *Bhrashtachar*.

Additionally, Rajinikanth made a special cameo appearance for Mithun Da in the 1995 Bengali film *Bhagya Debata*, which starred Mithun Chakraborty and Rituparna Sengupta in lead roles. The long-standing friendship between the two stars is considered a key reason for Mithun's appearance in that film.

Another highlight of *Jailer 2* is that it will feature three Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winning artists together. Apart from Rajinikanth and Mithun Chakraborty, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is also part of the cast. Ramya Krishnan, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Vidya Balan will play pivotal roles, while Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff will make cameo appearances. Shiva Rajkumar and Jackie Shroff also made special appearances in the first installment of the film.
