Kanwar Yatra 2025: How to complete the Kawad Yatra if your health deteriorates and can you keep the Kanwar on the ground?

Kawad yatra 2025: Sawan month and Kanwar Yatra have started from 11th July. Slogans of Bam Bhole are being heard everywhere. Barefoot Kanwariyas have set out to collect water from 4 holy rivers with Kanwar. Everyone has the same goal to get the blessings of their beloved God by anointing him with Gangajal on the day of Shivratri of Sawan. Let us tell you that Kanwar is a difficult journey for which one needs to be very strong physically and mentally; only then can one complete this journey. Many times, the health of the Kanwariya also deteriorates on the way, due to which the Kanwar Yatra has to be left midway. In such a situation, the question arises in the mind whether the Kanwar Yatra gets interrupted if the health deteriorates. In this regard, Bhagwat Kinkar Hridesh Krishna Shastri talked to him, explaining in detail what the rules are for Kanwar Yatra in special circumstances. So without delay, let's know...

How to complete the Kanwar Yatra if your health deteriorates
Hridesh Krishna Shastri says that there are three types of worship - Satvik, Rajas, and Tamas. Many traditions are found in Tamas - like Bali Pratha, taking Samadhi, giving up food and water, Kanwar Yatra also comes in this.

But in Kaliyug, life resides in food and water, so man cannot do penance, etc. In such a situation, the scriptures give this exemption that if a fast is broken due to physical illness, then it will not be considered broken. You can start your journey again.

Krishna Shastri further says that 'Sharirmadyam Khalu Dharmasadhanam' means that without a healthy body, a person cannot perform his religious and worldly duties properly. Therefore, keeping the body healthy and strong, protecting it from diseases, and taking care of it, should be the first duty of a man.

This Sanskrit proverb teaches us that a human should first give importance to their body, and should always keep it healthy. So that you can achieve your religious, spiritual, and worldly goals.

Can we put the Kaanvad down if your health deteriorates?

On the other hand, Kinkar Hridesh Krishna Shastri says that although there is a rule of not keeping the Kaanvad on the ground in the Kaanvad Yatra, in special circumstances, you can keep it; there is no harm in it. Because the water is in the vessel, it does not touch the ground.
