Kidney stone patients should avoid consuming excess salt and sodium. Excessive salt puts pressure on the kidneys and increases the risk of stone formation. Processed foods and packaged snacks contain high amounts of sodium, so avoid them. Fried and spicy food affects the digestive system and can increase the problems of kidney stone patients.
Along with this, non-vegetarian food contains excess protein, which puts pressure on the kidneys. Oxalate is also a common cause of kidney stones, so avoid foods containing high amounts of oxalate, such as spinach, chocolate, and nuts.
