In today's fast-paced life, you fulfill many responsibilities. It is also your job to maintain balance between home, office, children, and relationships. In such a situation, if you suffer from migraine, then every day becomes challenging, because migraine not only causes headache, but it also brings nausea, fatigue, and sensitivity to light or sound. However, according to experts, it can be controlled with medicines and a correct lifestyle.

Morning start
The first hour of the day determines the energy of the whole day, so make it a habit to get up at a fixed time every day, even if it is a holiday. Do not look at the phone or screen immediately after waking up. After a few minutes of stretching, take out 10-15 minutes for yoga or meditation. Pranayamas like Anulom-Vilom and Bhramari help in controlling the intensity of migraine by reducing stress.
Breakfast is very important.
Staying on an empty stomach triggers migraine rapidly, so do not miss breakfast. Eat only nutritious breakfast, like oats, porridge, fruits, or moong dal cheela, etc. Avoid tea, coffee, and energy drinks, as excess caffeine can also increase this headache.
Friendly distance from the screen
Continuously watching the screen can trigger migraine. But constantly watching the screen in the office is your compulsion. In such a situation, take your eyes off the screen for 1-2 minutes every 30 minutes. Your back should be straight, the screen should be at eye level, and your feet should be on the ground.
Water and relaxation
It is important to drink enough water throughout the day for migraine sufferers, because dehydration can increase the frequency of migraine. At the same time, to stay calm amid stress, take a deep breath, take a short walk, or listen to favorite music. Such breaks help in improving the mood as well as reducing the intensity of migraine.
Identify the trigger
Each person's migraine triggers can be different, such as bright light, loud noise, hunger, seasonal changes, and more screen time. When migraine comes, note the food, sleep time, stress, weather, and screen time of that day. This will help you know the migraine trigger.
Evening time
It is important to relax after the hustle and bustle of the day. So do a light walk, gardening, painting, or any other work that relaxes you.
The most important sleep
For migraine patients, adequate sleep is no less than medicine, so sleep for 7–8 hours. Stay away from the screen before sleeping, keep the room light dim, and the atmosphere comfortable.

Proper routine and nutritious diet
Dr. K.S. Anand, Professor and Head of Department of Neurology at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Delhi, says, it is not easy to handle migraines amidst the dual responsibility of home and office, but it can be controlled to a great extent by adopting a proper routine, nutritious diet, adequate water, and stress-reducing habits. However, today's youth has become more dependent on medicines, while they only provide temporary relief. If you really want relief from this pain, then adopt a disciplined lifestyle. Take small breaks during work, do meditation and walk for a while. Eat meals on time and avoid extremely cold drinks or foods.
