A major update concerning Kartik's film emerged during an event held on Thursday. Produced by Karan Johar, the film features Kartik in the role of an *Ichchhadhari Naag* (a shape-shifting serpent). While *Naagzilla* is set to make its debut on the big screen first, it has now been revealed which OTT platform will host the film subsequently.

*Naagzilla* tells the story of a world where shape-shifting *Ichchhadhari Naags* live amongst humans. However, everything changes when the *Naagmani* (serpent gem)—and the very life—of a carefree shape-shifting serpent become the targets of a cunning and power-hungry villain, leading to a situation that spirals out of control.

When Will *Naagzilla* Release in Theaters?

Filming has officially begun for *Naagzilla*, which is being directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba. The actor has frequently shared glimpses from the set during the shoot. The film's release date has also been announced; it is scheduled to hit theaters on August 14, 2026. The first look of the film—featuring the actor in his serpent avatar—was shared back in April of last year.

Which OTT Platform Will Host *Naagzilla*?

It has now been announced that, following its theatrical release, the film will arrive on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Amazon Prime Video hosted an event in Mumbai where, in addition to *Naagzilla*, they unveiled a slate of films that are set to stream on Prime Video after their theatrical runs.
