Importance of Nirjala Ekadashi 2025 Paran

Nirjala Ekadashi Paran 2025 will be observed the next day i.e. on Dwadashi Tithi. Nirjala Ekadashi Paran is the most important phase of the fast. Paran means the proper completion of the fast i.e. ending the fast. Ekadashi fast should be broken at the right time on Dwadashi Tithi, with auspiciousness and devotion, only then the fast be fully fruitful. According to the scriptures, if the fast is not broken at the right time on Dwadashi Tithi, then the fast is considered incomplete and fruitless. Lord Vishnu himself says that by not breaking the fast on time on Dwadashi, the virtue is destroyed. By breaking the fast, the fasting person gets the full fruits, virtue, and blessings of the fast.

Nirjala Ekadashi will be observed on the Dwadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month and this auspicious date is on Saturday, June 7. On the Dwadashi date, take a bath in the morning, wear clean clothes bow to Lord Vishnu, and feel like observing the fast. Worship Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi properly and offer yellow flowers, Tulsi leaves, sandalwood, Akshat, and water. After this, offer fruits, milk, sweets, and Tulsi leaves to Lord Vishnu. Then chant Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay mantra 108 times with Tulsi garland and recite Vishnu Sahasranama and Kanakadhara Stotra. Finally, perform the aarti of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi and bow down. Tell God that O God, O Supreme Soul, if I have made any mistake in the past, please forgive it and accept my fast.

Donation is important during the Parana of Nirjala Ekadashi, so donate water, food, clothes, fan, umbrella, sugar, Dakshina etc. to a Brahmin or the needy on this day. Especially a pot filled with water is a tradition to donate during this fast.

What to Eat During Parana of Nirjala Ekadashi?

After meditating and chanting on Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, keep Tulsi leaves in your mouth while chanting Om Vishnuve Namah mantra in front of the Lord. After this, you can drink Gangajal. After Parana, one should always eat only satvik and pure food.
