Paush Amavasya Auspicious Time: The Amavasya (new moon) day that falls in the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of the Paush month is called Paush Amavasya. Bathing and donating on this day are considered extremely auspicious, as it is believed to bring special merit. According to the Panchang (Hindu calendar), this year, the Amavasya tithi of the Paush month will begin on December 19, Friday, at 4:59 AM. This tithi will continue until 7:12 AM on Saturday, December 20. According to the rule of Udayatithi (the tithi prevailing at sunrise), Paush Amavasya will be observed on December 19. Therefore, all auspicious activities related to bathing, donating, and Amavasya will be performed on this day.

Paush Amavasya Bathing and Donation Muhurat
On the day of Paush Amavasya, the Brahma Muhurat will be from 5:19 AM to 6:14 AM. This period is considered the most auspicious for bathing and performing religious rituals. If, for any reason, you are unable to bathe during the Brahma Muhurat, you can still bathe after sunrise. Regarding the nakshatras, Jyeshtha Nakshatra will be effective from morning until 10:51 PM on Amavasya. After this, Moola Nakshatra will begin.
