Have you changed jobs multiple times over the past few years? Is your PF money lying in different accounts, and are you considering transferring it but haven't been able to do so? If so, this information is for you. Today, we will explain how you can easily transfer funds from your old PF account to your new one from the comfort of your home.

What to do first?
First, check whether all your old and new PF accounts are linked to your UAN. Before initiating the transfer, ensure that your bank account details, PAN, and other KYC information on the portal are accurate and up-to-date. Also, verify the balance in your old account; if there are any discrepancies, raise a complaint immediately.
How to transfer PF online:
Start by visiting the official EPFO member portal and logging in using your UAN and password.
Next, navigate to the 'Online Services' tab in the top menu and select the 'One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer Request)' option.
Details regarding your current (new) PF account will appear on the screen. You will then need to enter the details of your previous job or old PF account.
Verify your details and submit the application using the OTP (One-Time Password).
Once the application is submitted, you can easily track the status of your transfer claim online.
Within a few days, the funds from your old account will be transferred to your new, active PF account, eliminating the hassle of managing multiple accounts.
Why is transferring PF important?
Transferring your old PF balance to a new account when changing jobs is essential to ensure you retain full benefits regarding pension eligibility, tax exemptions, and compound interest. Additionally, having a single account makes future withdrawals or claims much easier.
