CM Yogi Adityanath will himself come to Maha Kumbh on 23 February and take stock of the security arrangements. The CM does not want to leave any scope for lapse. CM Yogi and his team have geared up to ensure that the stampede that happened on the day of Mauni Amavasya does not happen again. However, the protocol for arrival has not come yet. Let us tell you, in connection with the preparations for Maha Kumbh, the Chief Minister has come to Prayagraj 16 times from October to 16 February. This is his 17th visit to Prayagraj.

Big announcement of UP Transport Corporation

At the same time, the Transport Corporation has made special preparations for the last bath of Maha Kumbh. To avoid any inconvenience to the devotees, UP Transport Corporation has decided to run 1200 additional buses. Minister of State for Transport Dayashankar Singh said that 1200 buses have been kept in reserve for the Mahashivratri bath from 20 to 28 February. Apart from this, 750 shuttle buses are also running in the Sangam area so that the devotees can get better arrangements for the Maha Kumbh fair. At the same time, the minister has given instructions to 6 areas of western Uttar Pradesh. He has directed to operation of 25 buses daily for Prayagraj given the estimated number of passengers from Saharanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Aligarh.

Deployment of senior officers

At the same time, Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar talked about his preparations for Shivratri. He said that the last bath of Maha Kumbh is on 26 February. We have come here to prepare for the ground zero of this day. Security, cleanliness, and water flow were discussed today. Senior officers will be deployed on the main road coming towards Prayagraj. Apart from this, special preparations have been made for the weekend.

The DGP said that the soft skill training given to the UP police personnel for 3 months continuously is present at ground zero. Crowd management will be done this time as it was during Amrit Snan. At the same time, FIR has been lodged against three people so far on the video of a woman devotee bathing. Complaints have been registered against 55 to 60 people so far on misleading information.

The water level is fine

Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh said that we have come here for every arrangement in Maha Kumbh, water level, pontoon bridge, or for the convenience of the devotees. Right now 11 thousand cusecs of water have been released in the Ganga river. 20 thousand cusecs of water have been released in the Yamuna. Due to this the water level is fine.
